Studies show no significant endurance difference between carb-only and carb-protein drinks.       For endurance workouts, we recommend starting with 2-3 scoops (or one packet) with 18-24oz of water. Adjust your serving size as needed based on hunger and training effort.

      Endurance Fuel is designed to be your only fuel source but we get it if you want to mix it up. When taking in other foods along with Tailwind, make sure to account for the additional calories to keep your gut happy. That might mean reducing the amount of Endurance Fuel you take in per hour.

      Caffeinated Endurance Fuel contains 35 mg of caffeine per scoop or 70mg per single serving packet.

      Endurance Fuel is meant to be used as a standalone product as each scoop contains 310mg (620mg per packet) of sodium which should be enough, even for salty sweaters. We recommend increasing your liquid intake on hot days instead of adding a product such as Rapid Hydration to your Endurance Fuel mixture.

      Tailwind is easy to mix in a hydration pack and our single serving packets fit nicely in a cycling jersey pocket. You can also make a concentrate by mixing Endurance Fuel with a small amount of water (enough to make it viscous) and carry it in your water bottle or soft flask. If making a concentrate, be sure to take in plenty of water to help your body process it. 

      Endurance Fuel is meant to be used during your workout, training session, race or adventure, when you are actively burning calories. If you’d like to jumpstart your hydration beforehand, we recommend taking in some Rapid Hydration 30-60 beforehand. For after, we recommend Tailwind Recovery Mix to top off glycogen stores and repair your muscles.

      Endurance Fuel contains calories (100 per scoop / 200 per packet) in the form of carbohydrates to provide energy in addition to electrolytes to keep you hydrated. Rapid Hydration contains far fewer calories (45 / serving) and is ideal when you don’t need the sustained energy from carbohydrates. We recommend using Rapid Hydration for your shorter or less intense workouts, while Endurance Fuel is the go-to for your longer, sustained efforts.
